Connors State Archery Competes in Gellco Bow-Hunter Class Competition

FORT SMITH, Arkansas – The Connors State Archery team competed in the Gellco Bow-Hunter competition in Fort Smith, Arkansas over the weekend. This competition is one that the team has especially looked forward to this year. Assistant Coach Johnny King added, “This Challenge is one our Archery Team is determined to compete in with the goal of winning and getting exposure in the 3D archery world. We are competing in the USA Archery/ASA Collegiate 3D Regional Contest in two weeks in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. With what we saw in Fort Smith, we believe that we are poised to perform our best ever.”

Connors student-athletes had several notable finishes in the Gellco Competition. Sophomore, Konnor Ingersoll of Bethel Acres, placed 1st in the Gellco Bow Hunter Challenge 40-yard class. Sophomore, Matthew Hargrove of Coweta, tied for 4th place, and freshman, Clayton Porterfield of Lone Grove, placed 5th.
