Coach Adam Skolnick has resigned from his role as Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach at Connors State College effective next week to join MLS Next and Girls Academy club Michigan Jaguars.

Skolnick began the programs in Spring 2023 with the recruitment of 40 athletes to start competition in Fall 2023. In his first season, the men’s team was able to qualify for the Region 2 tournament as a first-year program. Over his three seasons the men’s soccer team qualified for the Region 2 Tournament all three years, along with four 2nd team All-Region student athletes. The men’s and women’s programs also combined to have over 40 All-Academic athletes under Coach Skolnick, including a top 10 GPA in the country for the men’s soccer program in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Skolnick said, “I am incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to start both the men’s and women’s soccer teams here at Connors. The process has been rewarding and challenging. I believe that myself and the student athletes I brought to Connors have left their mark on the school, and it is incredibly rewarding to see so many of them continue their academic and athletic careers after leaving the program. I want to thank Dr. Ramming for the support he has shown me in my time here. The family that I have made at Connors will always hold a special place in my heart.”

A national search for the next Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach has begun. A full job description and instruction on how to apply can be found at https://connorsstate.edu/hr/jobs/.
