Connors State College Announces Details For Nurse Pinning & Spring Commencement

Muskogee, Okla. – Connors State College will recognize graduating students during their annual Spring Commencement ceremony on May 8th.

The Connors State College’s Nursing Program will also celebrate their Pinning ceremony the same day at 2:00 p.m. at The Nero Fine Arts in Warner. Spring Commencement will follow the Pinning at 7:00 p.m. at Rougher Village in Muskogee.

Guests are welcome. Students and their guests may begin arriving at 5:30pm. CSC will also live stream the commencement ceremonies for family members and friends of graduates unable to attend in person.

Addressing the graduates and guests will be the President of Connors State College, Dr. Ronald S. Ramming.

Dr. Ronald S. Ramming became the 17th President of Connors State College in April 2017 after being appointed as Interim President in April 2016. Ramming is a Connors State College graduate and has worked at the college since August 1990.

He began his career in the Agricultural Division and has served in several roles including Director of Distance and Extended Education, Dean of Enrollment Services, Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, and Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. Ramming was raised in Hinton, Okla., on his family’s farming operation and attended Hinton Public Schools. Upon earning his associate of science degree in Agriculture from CSC, he transferred to Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. Ramming also graduated with a Master of Science in Animal Science from the University of Tennessee and a Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Education from OSU.

President Ramming is active in the community and serves on several boards and advisory committees. Ramming resides in Warner and has two adult children, Bobby, and Madison.

This commencement ceremony will mark the final one presided over by Dr. Ramming as President of Connors State College, as he prepares to retire at the close of the fiscal year.
