Connors State and NEO to Play Inaugural A&M Classic at ONEOK Field

Tulsa, Oklahoma – Connors State College and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M are proud to announce that this April, their respective baseball teams face off at ONEOK Field in the inaugural A&M Classic. The game will take place on Wednesday, April 3, at 6 pm in Tulsa’s historic Greenwood District.

The A&M Classic is expected to be an annual event bringing together fans and alumni of the Oklahoma A&M system’s two-year colleges. After countless matchups in Warner and Miami, this occasion will mark the start of a new chapter for this historic rivalry.

ONEOK Field, home of the Tulsa Drillers, provides an incredible opportunity for college athletes to experience playing in one of the country’s finest minor-league ballparks while showcasing junior college baseball to the people of Tulsa.

“Anytime we get the chance to face off against NEO makes for a good day of baseball. This game has always meant a lot, and for it to now take place in Tulsa just goes to show how true that is,” said Connors State Baseball head coach Perry Keith. “I have had the opportunity to watch former Cowboys play at ONEOK, so to be able to take the current guys and give them the chance to compete there will be special.”

Thanks to the generous support of the Western Bank of Oklahoma and OSU/A&M Regent Jimmy Harrel and his wife Marilyn, the A&M Classic promises to be a memorable experience for Connors State and NEO fans, baseball enthusiasts, and the Tulsa community.

Event organizers from Connors State said Tulsa Drillers president and general manager Mike Melega and his team have been valuable collaborators on the ground, helping make the historic first game a reality.

Tickets for the game are $7 and will be available for purchase online at tulsadrillers.com and at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8.
