Assistive Technology on Campus

Assistive Technology in the college setting refers to products, devises or equipment that can assist individuals with disabilities with their educational activities and independence. Below is a list of the assistive technology products that are available to students with disabilities at Connors State College.

 

VISION AIDS

 

Product: Learning Ally

Type: Software

Function: Allows you to download and play audiobooks directly on your iPod touch, iPad or iPhone.

Product: JAWS

Type: Software

Function: JAWS is a screen reading program that converts information from a computer screen to speech.

Location: CSC Library at the Main Campus in Warner and the West Campus in Muskogee.

 

Product: ZoomText

Type: Software

Function: ZoomText is a computer screen magnification application that enlarges information displayed on a computer screen.

Location: CSC Library at the Main Campus in Warner and the West Campus in Muskogee.

 

Product: OpenBook

Type: Hardware and Software

Function: An appliance that scans printed material such as books, magazines, etc. and reads it aloud to the user.

Location: CSC Library at the Main Campus in Warner and the West Campus in Muskogee.

 

Product: Merlin Video Magnifier

Type: Hardware

Function: An appliance that magnifies printed materials.
