Founded in 1908, Connors State College has a long history of providing the people of Eastern Oklahoma with access to higher education.
Since seating its first class of 17, the institution has grown into a comprehensive, multi-campus, two-year college that enrolls more than 3,000 students annually. Faculty and advisors work with students to design customized success plans to help them graduate on time, find their passion and prepare for life. Connors State is a member of the NJCAA, competing in Region 2 as a Division 1 program for intercollegiate athletics.

Valerie Hays is the Director of Recruitment at Connors State College as well as an adjunct instructor in English Composition and American Federal Government. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English from Northeastern State University, and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa in 2018. Valerie is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and also has several years of experience in higher education, working in areas like recruitment, registration, and advisement. Fun facts about Valerie are that she enjoys baking, hiking, crocheting, and spending time with her husband and two cats.

Braydan Robinson is a dedicated Recruiter at Connors State College. As a proud Connors alumnus, Braydan was deeply involved on campus serving in the President’s Leadership Class (PLC) and Student Government Association (SGA) while also being an active member of the Cross-Country team. While earning his Associate’s degree, Braydan decided to call Connors home while he works toward a Master’s degree in Agricultural Leadership. What Braydan loves most about Connors is that it is a tight knit family and a home away from home. A fun fact about Braydan is that he loves spending time with his family and watching all kinds of sports.

Amber McKibben is a dedicated Recruiter focusing on students interested in Agriculture at Connors State College. As a proud Connors alumna, Amber was an active member of the Rodeo Team, Student Government Association (SGA), and Ag Ambassadors during her time here. She earned her Associate’s degree in Animal Science in 2017 before continuing her education at Northeastern State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Communication in 2021. What Amber loves most about Connors is the sense of community—it feels like a second home, where everyone is welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm and comforting. Fun fact: Along with her passion for barrel racing and all things rodeo, Amber loves spending time with her family hunting and fishing whenever she can!

Allie Marks is a Student Success Coach at Connors State College. She started as a work-study in the admissions department and then as the receptionist in the nursing department. What she loves about Connors is that we really do “build futures one at a time”. A fun fact about Allie is that she is a first generation college graduate!

Lacie Hill is a Student Success Coach at Connors State College, and she is a proud Connors alumna. She is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology and looking into transferring to OSU Forensic Psychology Degree Program to eventually obtain a Doctorates in Forensic Psychology. Her goal is to continue to help students achieve their degree goals for years to come by staying at Connors and eventually teaching future students. What Lacie loves the most about Connors is “it feels like home. I never thought I would be able to go to college and make something of my life and I never thought I was smart enough. I just want to help students be successful and to make sure their Connors experience is as great for them as it was for me.” Fun Fact: Lacie is a proud mother to a very sweet and loving autistic boy and a very lucky wife. She likes to play video games in her spare time, likes to do woodburning, and spend as much time with her son and husband as possible.
