As we
look forward to the Centennial Celebration of Connors in 2008, it brings to
remembrance the role this Institution has played to augment individual
potential. The obtaining of knowledge as a goal has not changed drastically,
but the means by which it is gained has gone through many transformations. It
also brings to mind, the Institution must remain focused on its mission and
remain competitive and sensitive to its clients.
Much emphasis
has been placed on student, faculty and staff satisfaction and productivity.
Our students are key to the success of the College, thus, their input on issues
relevant to developing the whole person is solicited. On the other hand, the
employees often make the College, thus, their expertise must be respected and
considered.
Much of
the recognition and success of Connors must go to those "in the trenches"
embracing the philosophy of doing the right things versus doing things right.
Connors is truly fortunate to have a productive workforce, thus I encourage you
to experience the new Connors State College.
Sincerely, Dr. Donnie L. Nero, President
