The Connors State College Alumni and Friends Association (AFA) has been organized for charitable non-profit purposes to promote, aid, develop, and advance prosperity and welfare of Connors State College in Muskogee County, Warner, Oklahoma, along with the Connors Development Foundation (CDF).    

The AFA has the following purposes: 

1)      to serve as the center for organizing the alumni into a cohesive force so that they can demonstrate their interest in the college and have input into its ongoing programs;

2)      to serve as a catalyst to keep alumni in touch with the school and former classmates;

3)      to provide professional growth for students by utilizing the alumni as resource people;

4)      to provide a forum for the regular exchange of information and ideas among the Association membership in order to enhance the educational concept of CSC through cooperation, coordination, planning, and development;

5)      to have such powers and duties as may be needed to carry on the activities of the Association as defined by its Board of Directors.

In order to fulfill these purposes, we must be active. We have recently begun a campaign to increase our membership and member participation. We have compiled a database of names and contact information of prior students, thus prompting the letter you are reading now. It is our first step in growing the AFA to benefit CSC. We are excited to have the AFA grow by leaps and bounds in the next few years, and we need your support. In order to grow, we are currently trying desperately to update our database, so if you have received this letter and have any updated information, i.e., name change, address, phone number, etc., we would greatly appreciate you forward that information.

In the meantime, we are hosting an annual reunion on April 26, 2008. If you would like to register, please contact us. The annual dues of a member are only $10. Lifetime dues are $125. See membership requirements under the "membership" link below. In addition to the annual reunion, the AFA sponsors a scholarship. The amount and number of recipients vary from year-to-year, depending on donations received. This is done in coordination with Connors Development Foundation. Any amount donated to the scholarship fund is tax-deductible and is greatly appreciated.

Annual dues provide support to the AFA for the purposes of maintaining and updating records, mailings, and hosting activities as well as funding the annual reunion. We are working in small steps, and eventually plan to have an active alumni association who will help CSC thrive. We are excited to be former Cowboys and Cowgirls (formerly, Aggies and Aggiettes), and we want to show our pride! We want to bring activity to CSC and show current and prospective students why Connors is "the place to be" and how it "builds future...one at a time..."
